Parasite Problems

WE ALL HAVE WORMS!

Every animal has worms, including us! it's just a matter of keeping them at a level where the host can thrive.

Feeding your animals off the ground is a great first step to herd health and will save you money on wasted feed and vet bills.
Your lower on the pecking order animals usually get stuck eating what the first stringers dropped, which has been stepped on and is now contaminated, a simple hanging feeder or hay net placed above a stall mat or even plywood that is swept off daily goes a long way.

At least twice a year:)
A proper deworming in the spring when the grasses and weeds are starting to grow with a follow up dose in 9-14 days will ensure you get all the life stages of the worms.  A fall deworming will help your livestock head into winter strong and healthy.

Don't short your dewormer.
Parasites can build a resistance to wormers, so make sure you give the right amount, less is not better with worms.
